step 1

Get a quote and book your order

Generating an all-inclusive car shipping quote using our free online instant quote calculator takes just a few seconds. Provide a few basic details, such as the zip code or city for the pick-up and delivery, the year, make, and model of your vehicle, how many cars you want to ship, their condition (operable or inoperable), and the type of auto transport service (open car transport vs. enclosed car shipping) you want.

Weā€™ll also need your email address to send you a copy of your quote and a contact phone number if we need to speak with you directly to clarify additional details.

Other options for getting a quote include:

  • By phone: If you prefer a more personal and direct approach, you can reach our experienced car shipping experts by calling (708) 300-0063. They can take your shipping details for a tailored quote, answer any questions, and book your order once youā€™re happy with the deal.
  • Via live chat: Our live chat option is another excellent way to contact us when you need a quote but arenā€™t free to talk on the phone. Use it to request your free, instant quote, clarify details, and book your order in no time.

Frequently Asked Questions

All we need is the zip code or city for the pick-up and delivery of your vehicle, the year, make, and model of the vehicle you want to ship, its condition (whether itā€™s running or not), how youā€™d prefer to ship it (open car transport vs. enclosed car shipping), and the number of vehicles you want to ship.

Car shipping vehicle pick up step 2

step 2

We pick up your vehicle

We contact you as soon as we schedule your vehicle for a pick-up. On the day, the assigned driver gives you a few hours' notice to ensure youā€™re prepared. Donā€™t worry if youā€™re unavailable; you can assign a third party to act on your behalf. You could choose a neighbor, a friend, a relative, or a colleague. The only stipulation is that they must be 18 years or older.

When the driver contacts you, they want to confirm that the pick-up location suits large vehicles. The truck picking up your vehicle could be as long as 80 feet and weigh 80,000 pounds. Therefore, the driver wants to verify your location is truck-friendly.

If there is an issue due to local restrictions, zoning ordinances, low-hanging trees, or overhead power lines, now is the time to make alternative arrangements. Suitable locations include parking lots at a shopping mall, place of work, or an unrestricted or wider street nearby.

When the carrier arrives, you and the driver carefully inspect your vehicle, noting any existing scratches, dings, dents, or chips on the Bill of Lading (BOL). You sign it to confirm youā€™re happy with the recorded information, and the driver gives you a copy for safekeeping. You use this copy to compare when you receive your vehicle in a few days.

With all the documentation complete, you can wish the driver safe travels and let him get on the road.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are a few things you can do if you want to get your vehicle ready for transport:

  • Thoroughly wash your vehicle so that you and the driver can perform a comprehensive inspection and record any existing damage on the Bill of Lading (BOL).
  • Remove aftermarket accessories such as spoilers, lip bumpers, side skirts, and other accessories that change your vehicleā€™s dimensions.
  • Turn off your alarm system and remove your toll transponder. If this isnā€™t possible, wrapping the transponder in aluminum foil will avoid unnecessary toll charges.
  • Make sure you have a set of keys available for the carrier.

Car shipping vehicle delivery step 3

step 3

We deliver your vehicle

You receive a notification that your vehicle is nearby a day before the delivery. Further notification is given a couple of hours before the delivery. The driver is checking whether youā€™re available to receive it. You donā€™t need to change your plans if youā€™re busy because you can nominate a backup person to receive your vehicle. They could be a relative, neighbor, co-worker, or friend, as long as theyā€™re over 18 years old.

Contact your local towing company or dealership if you canā€™t find someone to act on your behalf. They might be able to help with the delivery of your vehicle.

When your vehicle arrives, you and the driver must perform a delivery inspection and compare it to the original BOL. Record any damage, dents, scratches, or chips on the BOL and then sign it to accept delivery of your vehicle.

One final step concerns the payment. If you prepaid for the transport, all thatā€™s left for you to do is sign the Bill of Lading (BOL). Suppose you chose the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment option when booking; now is the time to pay the driver the balance. You can pay with cash, a cashierā€™s check, Zelle, or CashApp.
